Questions and answers
Simply rinse with hot water after each use and shake dry. The micro-filter tip is removable for deeper cleaning. No special tools or brushes required. Stainless steel resists odour and staining naturally, so your Brewline stays fresh brew after brew.
Coarse, similar to French press. This ensures the micro-filter keeps grounds out while allowing full flavour extraction. If you prefer a stronger cup, a medium grind works well; for a milder brew, go coarser.
Brewline is made from food-grade 18/8 stainless steel: durable, corrosion-resistant, taste-neutral, and fully recyclable. It is the same alloy trusted in professional kitchens and premium brewing equipment worldwide. The 304 grade is safe for daily food-contact use and will not impart any flavour to your coffee.
No. Brewline's built-in micro-filter replaces disposable filters entirely. Less waste, less gear, simpler routine. The stainless steel mesh filter is reusable and a spare is included in the box.
Absolutely. At 28 grams it was designed for weight-conscious adventurers. It fits alongside a spoon in your cook kit and requires no additional accessories. Many PCT, AT, and CDT thru-hikers carry Brewline as their only coffee setup.
Yes. Coarse pre-ground coffee works well with Brewline. Avoid espresso grind, as the very fine particles may pass through the filter. Most supermarket "filter" or "cafetiere" grinds are a good match.
Yes. At 18.3 cm, Brewline fits any vessel taller than 8 cm. That covers virtually all standard mugs, camp cups, titanium mugs, and wide-mouth insulated bottles. You can also angle it in shorter vessels.
Between 2 and 5 minutes, depending on your grind size and preferred strength. A coarser grind with a shorter steep gives a milder cup; a finer grind with a longer steep produces a bolder one. Use the Brew Simulator to model your perfect cup.
Yes. Stainless steel handles high temperatures without issue. Place it in the cutlery basket for easy cleaning at home. The micro-filter tip is also dishwasher safe.
We offer 30-day hassle-free returns. If you are not satisfied with your Brewline, return it within 30 days for a full refund. See our returns page for full details.
You can, but be aware of how insulation affects your brew. Double-walled cups retain heat far longer than single-wall titanium or ceramic mugs. Because the water stays hot, the coffee grounds keep extracting well beyond the usual 2 to 5 minutes. By the time your drink cools enough to sip comfortably, you will likely end up with a very strong, possibly over-extracted cup that tastes bitter or harsh. If you prefer to use a double-walled vessel, try a coarser grind, fewer grounds, or a shorter steep before you start sipping. Another option: add a small splash of cold water mid-brew to drop the temperature and halt extraction sooner, giving you a milder, more balanced cup you can drink right away. Alternatively, brew in a single-wall mug and transfer to your insulated cup once the brew is ready.
Brewline comes with a standard 60 µm micro-filter tip. Three optional tips let you change the character of your brew. The French Press tip (100 µm) allows more oils and body through; the Pour-over tip (45 µm) gives a cleaner, brighter cup; and the Espresso tip uses a double-layer 60/25 µm mesh for an intense, concentrated sip from fine grounds. Each tip screws on in seconds and is sold separately.
